Hello, hello! Welcome to my site! So excited that you decided to stop by…and that you decided to visit my About page…you must really be bored! So, since you have some time to kill…

I’m Shoeless…a late-20s female living in Blacksburg, VA. I spent the last 10 years in Virginia Beach and the whole time I was left yearning for the mountains…and now I’m back…back home…the place I grew up. Part of me is thrilled to be close to the mountains (and hiking trails) again…the other part is terrified. Terrified of ending up stuck here, terrified of being “back home”…and terrified of being a newly wed.

I’m on marriage #2…and well, this one is the real thing. Took me 15 years to figure out that he was the one…and I’m sure as hell not letting him go! (You can find out our whole story here.)

I am not at all what people would think of as a housewife…in fact…I’m not really I work full time, and go to school full time (finishing up my bachelor’s in Environmental Biology). I also do quite a bit of volunteer work, but I love to cook and craft and turn our house into a home (and even enjoy a little cleaning…don’t tell the hubby I said that.) So, this site is about all my passions…hiking, cooking, crafts, diy projects, photography and travel…and probably a little more thrown in….so just start searching and you never know what you might find.
