So, as I hike I always pick up everyone elses trash…yes, I was a Girl Scout and yes I still believe in the motto that you should leave things better than you find them…so, I pick up trash and carry it out whenever possible…some of the stuff I find really leaves one to ponder, “what on earth is this doing here?” Granted, some place I hike are more remote than others, but still…just goes to show that if you throw it out, it’s gotta end up somewhere.
So, here’s some of the pictures of stuff I’ve found while hiking…(P.S. If you click on a picture it’ll open up a slideshow.

- I ran out of room in my hands and pack to carry stuff, so I tied the bag onto my pack. We also ran out of bags, so we used an old bucket we found. (Holliday Lake State Park & Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest, VA)
- What’s really cool about this island is people are only allowed on it during certain times of the year and are escorted by Fisherman Island staff. So all of this is stuff that washed up on shore from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel or boats. (Fisherman’s Island, VA)
